“Return My Body to the Soil is an ongoing design process inspired by decay, centering the organisms that partake in it. By drawing visual inspiration from detritus forms and color stories, viewers are presented with intricacies that are otherwise hidden under layers of decaying matter. My deep fascination with lichen, fungi, earthworms, and microbes translate across each wearable piece that is entirely handspun, extruded, naturally dyed, knit, or wet-felted. These slow processes mirror the quiet yet vital work that decomposers do on earth.
